Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday per the City of Boulder Municipal Code. Hauling and heavy impact delivery trucks will not be permitted to make their way to the site before 7:00 a.m.

As a part of demolition activities, stormwater management best practices will be installed on-site in order to control the flow of any water offsite.

TRUCK ROUTES AND STAGING LOGISTICS

At the beginning of abatement and demolition activities, three different trucking routes were utilized:

       • Monday and Friday: 4th Street to Alpine to Broadway
       • Tuesday and Thursday: 4th Street to Pine Street to Broadway
       • Wednesday: 4th Street to Dellwood, 9th to Balsam to Broadway

After routing trucks according to this schedule for a few months, Pine Street was determined to be unsuitable for semi-sized truck routing, mainly due to trucks having difficulties making turns from 4th onto Pine and vice versa. The development team proposed using Mapleton to 6th to Pine as an alternative route at this time, but ultimately The City concluded that Pine and Mapleton were not viable options for semi-truck routing, and advised Dellwood and Alpine be used as the dedicated routes.

The following amended routing schedule was placed into effect as of February 2020:

       • Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 4th Street to Dellwood, 9th to Balsam to Broadway
       • Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: 4th Street to Alpine to Broadway

• Two different trucking routes will be used as shown on the Truck Routing Map.
• It is desired to alternate trucking routes every other day when possible. Trucks returning to the job-site will take the same routes.
• Demolition debris will be stockpiled on-site and trucked of periodically when required.
• All trucks waiting to be filled will be staged on-site, not in the public right of way.
• The development team has been in contact with the Mapleton Early Childhood Center located at 9th and Mapleton regarding construction activities. Given the multiple pick-up and drop-off times the school has throughout the day, Mapleton Avenue will not be used for export or heavy impact deliveries (such as concrete, lumber). The ownership group will continue to work with Mapleton Early Childhood Center over the course of the project to address any potential concerns.
• Heavy impact deliveries will follow the same routes on the truck routing map.
• Trucks will not be allowed to idle during warm weather days when possible.

NUMBER OF TRIPS – DEMOLITION | COMPLETED

• At the start of Demolition 3-5 truckloads of debris will be hauled off-site every day. During the height of demolition activities which are scheduled to last approximately four months up to 25 loads of debris will be removed from the site every day.

The demolition debris was taken to the Front Range Landfill located in Erie, Colorado, and the Foothills Landfill located in Golden, Colorado. Employees operating equipment on the job-site are to be trained and certified in the use of the equipment they operate.
